      Dual M.S. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering and Dental Materials.  April 1984.  Thesis topic: "The                      Physical Properties of Vinyl Silicone Elastomeric Impression Materials".  Extensive coursework in polymer science            and biomaterials.

      Walter P. Murphy Fellow, 1981 - 1982.  Designed and built a Bonse-Hart small angle X-ray camera for the study of          optical heterogeneities in PMMA.

      Private Practice, Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in the Commonwealth of            Pennsylvania.  Technical expertise: materials science, polymer science, chemistry, and physics. 

 

Vesuvius USA Corporation, Carnegie, PA, 1997 - 2003

      Patent Attorney.  Responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, managing                              technology, supervising outside counsel, and general corporate law, including contracts, agreements, licensing,                  environmental and litigation.

 

Court of Common Pleas, New Castle, PA,  1/1997 - 9/1997

      Law Clerk to the Honorable Dominick Motto.  Researched and wrote opinions in the areas of criminal,                                constitutional, estate and family law.

 

Grove City High School, Grove City, PA,  1993 - 1994.

      Secondary School Teacher.  Taught a lab-based Physical Science course to college-bound underclassmen.  Certified        in both Chemistry and Physics.
